Independence Middle School is the first middle school in the north region of Palm Beach County to be approved by Cambridge Assessment International Education to offer its world-leading Cambridge Pathway curriculum. As an approved Cambridge Center, the campus is able to offer international curriculum options to students and create a pathway to its feeder high schools and Cambridge programs.

“We are very excited to offer internationally rich curriculum options to all students,” said Amber Saunders, the school’s Principal. “Our students will be able to engage in an advanced middle school curriculum in the areas of math, science, English, and advanced elective options like computer science, digital arts, and Global Perspectives & Research.

The four stages of the Cambridge Pathway give students a clear path for educational success, leading seamlessly from primary to secondary and pre-university years. Each stage combines a world-class curriculum, high-quality support for teachers and integrated assessment, including Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge International AS & A Level qualifications which are recognized by universities worldwide.

Cambridge Assessment International Education is the world’s largest provider of international education programs and qualifications for 5 to 19 year olds. More than 10,000 schools in 160+ countries belong to the Cambridge community.

“We are delighted to announce that Independence Middle School has joined our global community of Cambridge schools and we look forward to a long and productive relationship with them,” said Christine Özden, Chief Executive of Cambridge Assessment International Education. “Cambridge programs help students get ready for the world, equipping them with the skills they need to achieve at school, university and work.”
